Worldwide Health Alert – COVID-19 Update

This is a period of significant differences between international destinations with respect to travel impact. Globally, we have surpassed 12 million total confirmed cases and over 550,000 deaths. We have also noted that 55% of confirmed cases have recovered – increasing 3% since 6 July. Of the reported closed cases (8 million) 7% have died. Of the current active cases (4.8 million) 1% are listed as serious or critical (over 58,700 cases).


We strongly encourage all leaders and individuals to comprehensively plan for return to work with integrated risk management protocols and practices and avoid rushing to failure.


Notable Statistics:

  • 12,934,317 total cases across 188 countries globally – up from 11,477,723 cases on 6 July (1,456,594 case difference)

  • 7,139,985 recoveries (55% of total cases) – up from 6,207,907 on 6 July

  • 569,697 deaths (4.4% of total cases)– up from 534,938 on 6 July

Social distancing, shelter in place directives, and travel restrictions are changing across the globe.
