Situation:
The NYC Pride March is expected to have over 115,000 marchers, which if true will make it the largest LGBTQIA+ Pride event in history.
Step off is scheduled for Sunday, June 30 at noon. See map of route below.
Numerous afterparties will be taking place across the city.
Other significant events leading up to the Pride March:
Dyke March – Saturday, June 29 @ 5 pm
Queer Liberation March – Sunday, June 30 @ 9:30am
Possible Effects:
Disrupted modes of transportation around parade routes
Roads blocked for parade routes
Possibility of anti-LGBTQIA+ demonstrations or actions
Mitigating Factors to Apply:
Avoid all protests, demonstrations, and large crowds, which have the possibility of turning violent
Exercise caution if unexpectedly in the vicinity of large gatherings or protests.
Allow extra time for travel
Monitor local and social media for updates
