The Situation:
Several unions representing aviation workers, and ground transportation are holding nationwide strikes on Monday, 25 March beginning at 10:00 until 14:00 (local time). Significant flight delays and transportation disruptions are expected.
According to union leaders, all air transport workers, excluding air traffic controllers, will participate in the strike. Local public transport workers will also strike during this time.
Individuals traveling to or from Italian airports are advised to confirm the status of their flight before departure for the airport and anticipate flight and airport services disruptions.

Possible protests or demonstrations in major cities
Traffic delays due to strikes, demonstrations, etc.
Blocked roads due to demonstrations
Delayed or cancelled flights
Lack of public transportation services including railways, taxis, buses, etc.
Mitigating Factors to Apply:
Avoid all protests and demonstration, which have the possibility of turning violent
Check with airport to confirm flight status before departure
Allow extra time to travel to/from the airport, supplier, and accommodations
Avoid travel through major cities if possible, instead using bypasses
