Be Prepared for a Power Outage
What do you do when the lights go out? This is what one prepared family did when the power suddenly went out for them and 2,500 nearby houses:
Locate flashlights (make sure your flashlights have batteries and that you have backup batteries)
Light many candles (be careful not to make your own fire hazard)
Have plenty of blankets and warm clothing available, and keep windows and doors closed to retain heat.
Stock up on water, non-perishable food, and snacks
Play No Stress Chess - When you’re prepared, a power outage can be fun!
