The Situation:
Unions representing Air Italy and Alitalia Airline personnel announced a 24-hour strike on
Friday, 13 December. According to reports, other airport personnel may also participate in
the work stoppage. The strikes are scheduled to be held from 00:01 until 23:59 (local time).
EasyJet also announced a 24-hour strike 0:01 to 23:59 (local time) on 14 December, to
include airport personal.
Significant flight disruptions, including delays, modified timetables, and cancelations, are
possible if strikes are held.

Protest or demonstrations
Delayed or cancelled flights
Increased presence of security personnel, such as local police
Mitigating Factors to Apply:
Avoid all protests and large crowds, which have the possibility of turning violent
Check flight status ahead of time
Allow extra time to travel
Prepare for disruptions caused by protests
Monitor local and social media for updates
