We recently shared information with you regarding the importance of a morning routine to
establish an effective mindset that will enable you to tackle your day. Today, we are going to
talk about how to best "tie a bow" on the end of our day with some evening reflection tips.
As high performers we are likely doing much more right than we are wrong, but due to the
negativity bias which is a psychological phenomenon that makes us more prone to seek the bad than the good in our environment - we need to purposefully and intentionally shift our
attention from the behaviors we want to improve to the behaviors that we want to sustain.
Taking a few minutes each evening to reflect on your day can enable you to do just that! Below are a few questions that you can ask yourself each evening to ensure a robust reflection on your day.
A moment that I really appreciated today was...
A situation or last that I handled well today was...
Something that I realized or learned today was...
I could have made my day even better if I...
Something that could have helped me feel more connected with others today would have been...
If I were my own high performance coach, I could tell myself this statement about today...
Happy reflecting!
