Situation:
Following the fall of the Karnataka state government on 23 July, the police have
enforced prohibitory orders in Bengaluru for 48 hours to prevent civil unrest. The police
order prohibits the congregation of groups of five or more people and the holding of public
meetings or processions. Pubs, bars and restaurants that serve alcohol will remain closed
until 6pm on Thursday 25 July. Essential services such as public transport, schools, cabs
and hospitals will not be affected.
